accountability

started working on my weight loss. i have a TON to lose. i started "officially" on monday. the week is going well. i'm going to try and document my progress weekly, an accountability of sorts.

so far, i've lost all of my baby weight from addison plus two pounds. i'm really proud of that. i gained the least with addison, 24 pounds, and it's amazing how much easier it was to get that off. if only i had TRIED with the boys! :) i have 20 to lose from jackson, 10 to lose from harrison and another 10-15 from just weight gained after we got married. SO, 40-45 pounds before i reach my goal.

i know it will take a while. it didn't go on fast so it won't come off fast! :) my inspiration...katy schrodt. i haven't told you this katy so it might be shocking to you. :) there have been times where i've felt like it would be impossible to do but seeing what you've been able to do through commitment and determination, i feel like i can do this. i've been SO proud of you and have tried to tell you. but now i want you to know what an inspiration you've been to me personally in believing in the impossible!!!

so, here we go. my first entry. starting is the first step so at least i can say i've STARTED!!!

Oh Beth. I was in exactly the same place that you're in now. Callie was 7 weeks old when I first went back to the Y, left her in childwatch, and started the beginning of the rest of the my life! Seriously!!! And now here I am, a year later, and a totally different person. Yes, I lost 50 lbs, but I've changed my life! Wearing a TOTALLY different size, but feeling SO much stronger and healthier, with more energy (which you NEED with 3 kids!!) YOU CAN DO IT! If I can, anybody can!! I promise!!! I'm happy to be any encouragement that I can to you - from one foodie to another, exercise is the best way...because then we can still enjoy our yummy food!! :) Just let me know when you're ready to train for a race with me...even if it's a 5K! :)

Beth, 40-45 lbs? I think you will be invisible by the time you are done!!!

Good luck with everything and keep us posted if you have any great healthy recipes!!:)

I'm with ya girl! I saw the coolest thing on a friend's blog lately (but haven't been brave enough to do it myself). They have a weight loss ticker on the web to keep track of how much you lose and be held accountable by the blogging world!

Beth, I think you look great already but I'm proud of you for wanting to get healthier. Your Sister-in-law needs to do the same thing...had my first 1.5 mile run 4days ago, and I thought I was going to pass out because I am so doggone out of shape. Do you want to run a 1/2 marathon with me? Katy also inspired me too and she's right...if we exercise than we can eat some yummy food too. :)
