homework

started some "school" with Jackson this week. he LOVES it. i didn't really know how he would respond. he's such an active guy that sitting isn't his thing! he loves tracing, cutting, gluing, and coloring. he is just too cute! he calls it his "homework". now that Harrison is in 1st grade, he has homework monday-thursday. (that's a whole other post i'll have to do some time). as soon as we have dropped off Harrison for school this week, he wants to go straight home and do his school work. when Harrison is working on his homework during the evening, Jackson wants to do his "homework" too. we're only spending about 10min. just until he gets uninterested. AND we're only doing what he wants to do. i want him to enjoy this time together and certainly don't want to push him. he's 3 for goodness sakes! but i am happy that he LOVES it and ASKS for it! so fun! he's getting to be such a big boy! :)

I LOVE those Kumon books - K&A loved them when they were 2 and 3 and were so proud to finish a book and get the certificate at the end!

Beth,

Those pics are SO adorable! I love it that he wants to be just like his big brother. He has a GOOD big brother to emulate! (I know this is fact because I had Harrison all last year in Kidz Praise! :) ) I need to hear Jackson's sweet voice and get a "Jackson" fix. You gotta get 'that' on video a lot before he changes into a "bigger boy voice". Goodness....what a long post --- have a told you lately how much I enjoy your kids? :)

Oh my goodness! Now Mimi and Papa has TWO school boys! I am really impressed with his desire to do school work. He is really doing good! You tell him our dresser mirror needs some "Jackson art".

Love,
Mimi and Papa

Hey wait a minute we need some art to put on our fridge over here in Germany too. So proud of our little Jackson...it just tickles me that he wants to be like his big Brother...that's so great! And I know you're enjoying spending the time with him too watching him learn and enjoy his "homework". You'll have to remind him one day when he's in high school how much he enjoyed "homework" at one time in his life. :) It will never be this much fun again!

Wow! Jackson looks so grown up doing his school work! It sounds like Vonda and Mimi have him pegged as the family artist!!!!!!!! I will take a picture myself if he's up to it and don't forget Nanny, Mom Mom, Aunt Grace and of course Aunt Janet and the list goes on.... That should keep him busy for awhile. Any one that knows Little J knows he is one active young man... so keep up the good work and make school work short and fun for now!
Love, Mom
