fun saturday

we had a GREAT saturday! the boys spent the morning at the pool with daddy. we ran some shopping errands. then, the boys got to go to a birthday party for a friend and anthony and i got to celebrate my birthday at the Olive Garden! it was fabulous and decicious. i think this was our first "drop-off" party so that was fun! addison slept like an angel through our entire birthday dinner. perfect! :) we came home and the boys played with their daddy on the slip n slide. i must get that on video next time. hilariously funny!!! :)

the best part of the day was how normal it felt. i think we're doing pretty good!!! our family of five is so incredibly perfect! i can't explain how complete it feels. i'm just amazed at how in love anthony and i are with our three precious blessings! God has been SO good to us!

over 30

well, i am officially in the "over 30" group now!

still hard to believe. 31 is still VERY young. and to have three children as spaced out as mine are is sometimes hard for people to grasp, i guess.

took Addison to church for the first time on sunday. had to make a stop in the nursing room and these two other sweet women were in there nursing their 10 month old babies. they were oohing and aahing over little Addison and remembering back to when their babies were so small. then, the question finally came..."is this your first?" my response, "no, actually it's my third." their response, "OH!!!!, how old are your other children???" i think it's so shocking to people that i actually have a child entering the 1st grade in just about a month! :)

i see it as a blessing. i'm so blessed with these precious children and i wouldn't have it any other way. there is certainly NOTHING i would've rather been doing these past six years of my life!

so, here's to 31. with our baby girl sortof starting it off, it's looking like it's going to be a GREAT year! :)

Father's Day - June 15, 2008

Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!

We had a wonderful day celebrating Anthony on Father's Day. My mom arrived from VA around lunch time and we all headed to Red Lobster to celebrate. It was delicious. We came home for a bit and then headed out later for some Cold Stone Ice Cream! Yum Yum!!! It was nice to have mom there with us. We were so anxious to have her and for her to be able to spend some time getting to know sweet Addison Grace! Doesn't Anthony make a fabulous father of three??? :) We love you Daddy and are so blessed to have you as our own! Thank you for all you do to make our home such a wonderful place!

First Bath - Father's Day June 15, 2008

Addison's First Bath

personalized towel from Uncle Ian, Aunt Vonda, & Ella Rose

i sure do LOVE the smell of a freshly bathed and lotioned baby!!! it took two weeks and 1 day for her cord to fall off so i was very anxious to get her nice and clean! she's quite the sleepy head anyway but after that nice warm bath and all the fuss about it, she REALLY was ready for a nice long nap! her mamaw - my mom - was here for her first bath and was able to capture these great pictures! :)
our girl is doing such a great job! 5 hours at night and would seriously do more if i could only let her. can't wait for her 5 week birthday so i can let her see how long she'd really like to go! amazing! i have heard this about third babies and about girls so i'm happy to say she's started out quite well and we just couldn't be happier! :)

the love of a brother

things to get excited about...

here are a few things i've gotten excited about lately...

cookies!!! i love these cookie bouquets that you can order. they are delicious and look like pieces of art! one of anthony's customers sent us this bouquet and boy it was yummy! lots of beautiful cookies decorated and one with Addison's name and birthday on it!

one of my dearest friends Stacy, who lives in Cleveland, made this beautiful bib and blanket for Addison. she always makes the most lovely things. this package just brightened my day.

my NEW diaper bag. had to get a new diaper bag for baby girl!!! the sweet worship team ladies from church gave this to me and i LOVE it!!! i took it to a local shop and had it monogrammed and it's beautiful. it puts a smile on my face when i see it or pick it up to go somewhere.

these are some of the things that i've gotten excited about lately :)

Aunt Janet comes to town

Aunt Janet and Sarah came to meet little Addison Grace on Monday, June 9th. It was a short visit in that they had to go back home on Tuesday night but we were happy to take any time they could give us! Janet was so sweet to cook and help around the house. We can't wait to get all the cousins together to meet their newest addition to the group. :) I know the boys would have really enjoyed seeing Austin, Grant, & Emma so hopefully they'll be able to come next time! I think Janet wanted the baby all to herself and can I really blame her??? :)

My friend Laura took these amazing pictures of little Addison Grace! I haven't even gotten the whole CD of pictures and look how incredible the sneak peek is!!! These pictures are priceless and will be so special to us as the years go by! She'll be taking pictures of the boys with their new baby sister soon and I can only imagine how beautiful they will be!

just like dad and snaggle tooth

Harrison has wanted to dress up like his dad the past week so I just HAD to get a picture! Isn't he the cutest! AND...look at that snaggle tooth! just barely hangin on!
the funny thing is the next day at school, while eating lunch, his tooth fell out into his lap! he thought that was hilarious! he brought it home in a baggie and was very excited to show us his new gap up top! losing a top tooth REALLY makes him look BIG!!! i'll post a picture of the new mouth later...my camera is down stairs right now and i'm too lazy to go get it! ;)

visitors

Chris and Jessica drove down to meet little Addison on Friday, June 6th. It was so sweet of them to want to come and meet our baby girl! They spent the day with us and bought us dinner too! What GREAT friends they are to us and we love them so much! Thanks Chris and Jessica for coming down for the day and loving on our baby girl! Next time though, I think you'll have to bring Cody or the boys will be very disappointed! :)

the rodeo

There is a Rodeo every Tuesday night in the spring/summer not too far from our house. We wanted to try it last year but just didn't get around to it. Harrison had it on his list of things he wanted to do with Daddy after the baby came. So, Anthony took the boys and Mimi to the Rodeo the day after we got home from the hospital. The boys thought they were hot stuff in their cowboy boots and cowboy hats! They were adorable! Anthony said it was a lot of fun so I hope to join them sometime this summer. The boys had a blast! :)

lots of posts!

sorry to overload you with all of these posts but i simply CANNOT narrow it down. have to have everything on record! i'm trying to get caught up and i'm a bit behind! :)

weight check

Addison had her weight check on Friday, June 6th. She had seen the doctor on Tues. the 3rd and weighed in at 7lbs 10oz (she was 7lbs 15oz on Sunday night in the hospital). I was anxious as all mom's are that she be gaining at the Friday appointment. She must be an excellent eater, even though she's so sleepy and hard to wake up that every feeding is a challenge, she was back up to 7lbs 15oz...within 3 days. Dr. Murnane was very impressed with our little girl! :) In these pictures, she is wearing a little outfit that Savannah, her cousin, passed down to her. It's so fun to dress her as I'm sure all of you with little girls already know! :)
