i guess i'm a homebody of sorts. i do like to go on vacation, don't get me wrong. well, you know that about me. :) but if vacation is not involved, i get extremely overwhelmed when i don't have enough days at home. it makes me feel like my life is spinning out of control! it gives me great stress to be too busy!
i LOVE to wake up in the morning and know that we don't have to go anywhere unless we want to and i can catch up on lots of things that i have neglected while we were going and doing the past couple of days. my sweet husband knows this about me. this morning, he got up and let me sleep in a few extra minutes. when he came in to wake me up he said, "are you excited that you don't have to go anywhere today!" it made me smile! :)
as my kids are getting older, we are having to be out and about much more often. i know it will only get worse. i will enjoy the things we do and i know i will constantly evaluate if we are doing too much. we will never be involved in every activity, sport, or be at every fun thing going on in town. we just can't. i'll go insane! :) but we'll have fun, don't worry about us!
we are getting ready to head to the pool but that is not really GOING anywhere. it's in our neighborhood and we can walk. although, we will drive today because it is SO hot and i'm not in the mood to get wet (drenched in sweat) before the pool. no, i'd rather get wet by getting IN the pool.
anyway...loving today. loving that i have NOWHERE to be. :)

I am NOT one of your friends who loves to go go go. Every time I sign up to do a bunch of things I end up overwhelmed and end up completely shutting down. Remember that when it comes to homeschooling. Don't sign up for a million programs and groups unless you want to drive yourself crazy!!!

I'll join you and your friends that LOVE having nothing on the calendar. :) I always sigh in relief when I enter my front door. This week our kids had to be at something each morning and I couldn't wait to be done with that. The blessings of homeschooling --not having to get up and rush somewhere. You'll love it! I SO relate to how you feel, Beth!
Here Here! I'm with you. I can't stand it when my life is constantly spinning. That's one thing I'll like about homeschooling. Unfortunately, I won't be having a day like that for a few more weeks. Enjoy!!!!! Now off to outing #3 for the day. urgh.
i'm with you...love having nothing to do. and, you're right, it is getting harder and harder. i am having to be MORE AND MORE intentional about saying NO!
i LOVE when all the activities end in the spring and it means we can just hang out at the pool all summer:)! i love it so much that i actually forgot c's last two weeks of gymnastics
Amen Sister! Now I do enjoy doing a lot of stuff but since I've had babies, staying at home is a lot more fun! So "doing nothing" with a 2 year old and a 1 year old still ends up being pretty busy around my house but I'm sure with Addison and Jackson girl you are still not really resting now are ya? Hee hee! Can't wait to "do nothing" with y'all at Hilton Head in August. We are counting down the days esp. if we can ever leave Texas!
