1 Corinthians 13:4-7
(The Message)
Love never gives up.
Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn't want what it doesn't have.
Love doesn't strut,
Doesn't have a swelled head,
Doesn't force itself on others,
Isn't always "me first,"
Doesn't fly off the handle,
Doesn't keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn't revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.
Lord, please help me to be self-controlled today! please help me to keep from 'flying off the handle' at my family today! Help me to show them LOVE! YOUR LOVE! not some distorted version of my own love for them. help me to LOVE today. everyday. but, especially...TODAY. i must start with TODAY!

Amen Beth! I know Moms all over the world today echo this prayer as they raise their children and love their husbands! Beth, remember the TRUTH...YOU are a great Mom and Wife and God is using you mightily in the lives of Anthony, Harrison, Jackson, & Addison. Love ya girl!
That is just beautiful Beth! Thank you for sharing that gold nugget of truth found in God's Word.
love your prayer!!! "i must start with TODAY!"
Had a blast with you today...and praying that things are going better. You are SUCH a great mommy, Beth!!! Love you!
Love you, Beth!
Beth, every mother screams at her children......If they did not get "fed up" they would not discipline and change their children's behavior. I had a friend a long time ago that was so laid back and nothing ever bothered her and she never disciplined or corrected her children. I said about her once, "I just love her to death, she is so nice but she is not a good mother !" I said that because mothers need to re-direct their children when they are doing wrong and when they do it over and over......it does get tiring!
But YOU are gonna make it! Keep up the good work!
Love,
Mimi
