picture day

today is picture day at Harrison's school. hold that thought...

Harrison loves to do his hair every morning and will wet it and comb it into perfection. today as he was doing his hair, his daddy decided to get in on the fun and helped Harrison slick it back like he does. Harrison wants so much to be like daddy that this seemed like a GREAT idea to him!

after daddy left, i told Harrison how much i loved his hair fluffy, like a boy, and that he didn't need to do his hair like a "man". (trying to influence him to change it, of course!) :) he wouldn't go for it and said he would do his hair like i like tomorrow.

WELL! on the way to school Donovan (we carpool with another family) said he was excited because TODAY is PICTURE DAY!!! Oh my word! i had completely forgotten...something i am doing more and more these days and can't seem to get a handle on it. EVEN THOUGH i have everything written down! not helping all that much! the one day the boys decide to change it up in the hair department, it HAS to be picture day! Mrs. Cheuvront is probably going to think we did his hair that way on purpose because it IS PICTURE DAY!!! OH MY WORD!!!

it should make for an interesting first grade photo! :)

you MUST take a picture when he gets home! (or scan in the school pic when it arrrives). That's a classic story. :) How funny that I was just asking you about picture sizes - bet you want the biggest package available of that one!!! Can't wait to see how you do his hair for our session... ;)

I'm sitting here laughing. Hey at least Anthony could talk Harrison into doing his hair the same way as Daddy's. I ALWAYS wanted to do my hair MY WAY when I was a little girl, and my Mama would try her hardest to get me to do it differently. Well now I have all these school pixs of me that I don't like, and my Mama still reminds me that I was so doggone independent that I wanted my hair to be a certain way. I guess that was one battle she didn't want to fight even during school picture time. And look at it this way, it will be a memory and y'all will all be laughing about it one day. And hey Harrison is such a cutie patootie that it won't matter what his hair looks like. Do I sound like a proud Aunt or what? :)

I bet they will come out cute but I bet he will look so much older with the Daddy-doo. Let me just say with a 10 and 11 year old you have many more events ahead where they want to do their hair their way. I can't wait to see that post.
