1st. multiple posts below. trying to catch up from my break from blogging. still have a couple more things from this past week and then i'll feel up to date.
2nd. headed to the ER with Harrison this morning at 4:30am. he'd been complaining of stomach pain since yesterday afternoon and woke up around 2am crying and in pain. finally decided if he was in too much pain to sleep then it must be bad. ER doctor ruled out appendicitis so that was good. did an x-ray to find out that he is SEVERELY constipated. no clue of this...he's been "going", doesn't like to and definitely holds back but been "going". his bowels are backed up all the way to his rib cage. no wonder he's in so much pain. he'll be on a laxative for a week and we'll see our ped. this week to see what we can do to keep this from happening again. he's had these types of issues since he was a baby but i thought he had outgrown them. evidently not. i'll let you know what the doctor says...i'm just glad it wasn't something really serious!!!

Oh my goodness!! So he really was hurting bad at our house Friday night!! Did you all end up at the ER? So sorry for him!!
Kellen went through this - took about 5 months to straighten out! Hopefully Harrison will be all better in a week! :)
Oh good grief! When I called this AM and talked with ANthony, he told me about this. Who knew! I thought he was over it too..but up to his rib cage is AWFUL!
Bless his little heart!
Love,
Mimi
Oh....we can so relate to this. I am not in the habit of buying junk food for our house (because Brian and I will eat it -- not because we are trying to be good parents really :)
Last Easter the kids, of course, were spoiled with some nice Easter baskets full of candy. At the end of the week Austin was in the emergency room and the x-rays showed the same thing as Harrison. We were so thankful that it wasn't his appendix and the doctor did ask if he had an unusual diet that week. OOPS! :)
Oh my word! We had the exact same experience with Kenna about 2 years ago. She was in so much pain and she was constipated! When people asked her if she was doing better she would say it was just hard poop in there hurting her! ha ha!
Poor Harrison...I hope he is feeling better soon! Beth, I know you must have been worried sick about him.
Poor guy. I know how that goes. Alex had us in the er a few years ago with the same thing. It was during potty training too, so you can imagine the setbacks that caused. Glad to hear he's OK.
Ouch - that's not fun. HOpe it all gets sorted "out" soon!
Never a dull moment for any of you! I hope Harrison is feeling much better. Bless his heart!
Yikes. Glad that he is okay.
I can relate...few week ago took Bianca to the ER and after the X-ray he said "she is literally full of it". One Baby Lax and she was mo better. Poor babies just need to let that nasty stuff out!
