Addison is back!!!

Wow! I knew I would miss her but I REALLY missed her! Like deep in my heart, kind of hurt missed her. She is my little buddy and while I am so thankful she was able to go...she had a BLAST...I am SO glad she is back with ME!!! :)

Savannah and I took off to the airport to greet her this afternoon. Mimi and Papa flew in to Norfolk since we were coming this weekend anyway and the flights looked open.

Thankful she could go, but really thankful she is back!

Friday morning Anthony left for some business meetings and the boys and I took off to Janet's house. I was going to get my hair done while they played with Grant & Emma.  After lunch, Savannah and I took off for the airport to meet Mimi, Papa, & Addison!  WE WERE EXCITED!!!  

 Addison was so funny!  She seemed shy to see us.  It didn't last long and I grabbed her and hugged her as quickly as I could!  I have missed that little girl SO much!

 these two little girls have a special bond!  they love each other SO much and it didn't take them long to start talking up a storm.  they had so much they needed to discuss and giggle over and I enjoyed every minute of listening to their conversation!  I hope they will always be so close!

Once we got back to the house and Addison was able to catch up with everyone, we had some birthday cake!  Nanny had made one of her famously delicious cakes for Jackson and Addison to celebrate their birthday's.  They were SO excited to eat cake! :)

Lost

Feeling a little lost today without my shadow. It's SO quiet in the house! At least I still have Princess. :). Missing my girl but I know she is having so much fun with Mimi and Papa. Now...I need to stop moping around and get some stuff done!

Addison's 1st Trip with Mimi and Papa AND a decision to blog again!

Addison is on her FIRST birthday trip with Mimi and Papa!  She has been SO excited about this trip.  It's taken me four years to be willing to give her up for a few days but I know she is going to have a blast! Thankful for Mimi and Papa and their love of their grandbabies.  I know she is in good hands. 

I'm going to use some of this time while she is away to catch up on blogging!  GASP!!!

I know, it's been like two years.  After spending the weekend down at Katy's and seeing her stacks and stacks of blog books it confirmed I needed to get over the fact that it's terribly overwhelming to try and pick it up again when I know there are two, TWO, years of memories I want to get documented for my kids!  and for me!  But, I've got to start somewhere.  I won't get it all in, I'm sure but I'll just start working slowly to get this thing updated and back on track.  I know I'll regret it forever if I don't. 

So...here I go!!!!

After the Ballet recital we spent some time taking a few pictures.  Most of the family photos are on my phone so they aren't great quality.  Oh well.  We had promised Addison some ice cream after her performance and in most of the after pix, it's clear from Jackson's face he is READY.TO.GO.  He was done.  The kids really were exhausted because they had spent the afternoon at the pool party, then a birthday party, and then the recital.  It had been a LONG day!

 Addison never struggled.  She was happy as could be and what a joy she was!  She was excited too because she knew she was leaving for her trip in the morning!

Addison's First Dance Recital

 Addison had her first Ballet recital last night!

 She was the cutest "Pig in a blanket" we had ever seen!

 she started to get nervous as we were walking her in to be dropped off...

 The recital started at 7:30pm but drop off was an hour & a half earlier.  The teachers kept assuring us this was strategic.  It gives the girls time to settle down.  I was nervous becasue when I dropped her off she held on with the death grip and screamed and cried her little eyes out!  My heart broke and I started preparing myself for her to be the little girl who would stand in the middle of the stage staring and not moving or balling her eyes out!  Poor litttle thing!  She never adjusted during class observations and would cry and get embarrassed so we had set our expectations pretty low for this performance. We just wanted her to have this experience! 

 Waiting for the show to start!  I was SUPER nervous.  We prayed for Addison and I just kept hoping she wouldn't be completely traumatized by the experience. LOL

 Here she is!  Our dancing girl! She did an AMAZING job!  We were so proud!  She didn't cry AND she actually danced too! :)  YAY Addison!  It was so fun watching her up on stage having such a good time with her little friends.  She looked like she had so much fun and we were so proud of her!  Jackson kept saying "she didn't cry!!!"  We were ALL proud! :)

 We also gave her a Trophy.  Ms. Kristine was so nice to tell us how to go about that and ordered Addison's when she ordered Taylor's.

 It was SO nice to have Mimi and Papa there to celebrate her special night!
