cupcakes

One of the GREAT things about having your birthday during the school year is getting to bring cupcakes to school, right??? At least I always thought so...me with my summer birthday feeling SO left out! :)

Harrison was very excited! We went together to pick out the cupcakes at Sam's and he was so cute. I love it when we get to do things like that together. My FALL (or skid across the sidewalk) happened at about 10:45am and I was supposed to be at the school at 1:00pm. Everyone around me kept trying to talk me into calling the school or figuring out some way to drop the cupcakes off. I just couldn't. My little man was expecting me and I just couldn't let him down! I looked a little scary, REMEMBER, and Harrison was concerned when he saw me...so were his teachers! :) I was just glad I made it. I've never quite had a moment like that where I was really struggling and in a lot of pain but didn't care about anything else but being there for my boy. I guess that is what being a mommy is all about.

We enjoyed being able to pop in and celebrate! We took our cupcakes in the day before his birthday because we were getting ready to leave VA the next day! A surprise party and THE BIG RACE...post coming right up! :)

Go Mama!!! Beth, you're the BEST! I know Harrison will ALWAYS remember that special birthday when his Mama showed up with a big scrape on her face...there will always be a story there and I'm sure it meant a lot to him but as he gets older, it will mean even more to him.
