Hi Beth,

Chris and I voted on Saturday, October 25th at an early voting site. We had to wait in line for about 15 minutes, I think. That was to get into the voting room. Then we waited in a line to get our ballots for about 5 minutes. Then we waited in line for a few more minutes for a place to vote...being with Noelle (in her umbrella stroller), we chose the option of sitting at a table. :o)

Because we were movingf we had to vote by mail-so we did that last week. We picked up the forms to apply for an absentee ballet without any wait-filled it out provided the proper ID and they mailed it to us here in Fl and we mailed it back in. It was super easy. I wish we could have voted and taken the bigger boys so they could have seen the process. Now that they are 10 and 11 I think they would have enjoyed it.-- May be next time.

I voted at 12:45pm. I didn't know what to expect during the lunch hour, but we breezed right through. The lines this morning were insane! I'm glad we didn't have that problem. Afterwards, the kids and I headed over to Krispy Kreme for our free donut and we hit the starbucks on the way home so Jake could use the potty and I got my free tall coffee:) Its been a great voting day!

Brian and I took the kids and voted at 12:45p.m. No line at all.

That was just amazing. Thankfully have of N.C. has already voted. I would hate to vote in a state that didn't have early voting.

Voted at 1:30 while the kids were at home with my mom and was done in an hour. Not so bad - the line had grown while I was in there. It's going to be a long night!

I voted at 8:15 with one of my girls, Kylie, and we were in and out in about 20 minutes. I actually could have walked to where I voted but it was a little chilly yesterday morning. She was glad it did not take long! :)

You already heard all about my story, but here's for the rest of everyone. I went at 9:30 am and it took me almost 2 hours. Thankfully the kids did great, but it was nuts! David went at 2:30 pm and was done in 5 minutes! Go figure!

Ok...so you KNOW you have to buy the boys those sweaters from Children's Place so we can take a picture, right??? And if not, I GUESS I can settle for one of the girls together:). Cailey got the dog dress when she was three (which is now Kinsey's) and then last spring I saw a size 6 on sale for 6 dollars and just HAD to buy it:)!

Since we are overseas we had to request absentee ballots and we were so worried we wouldn't get them in time so we made sure we requested them way early.

We got them off about 2.5 weeks before Election day, but we have decided they need to make it much easier for military overseas or deployed or any American who lives overseas for whatever reason to vote. It's not easy and in the age of our technology this should not be such an archaic process. Okay that's my soap box for the day!
