Addison turns 4!!!

One of Addison's best girlfriends here in Raleigh was able to meet us for a birthday playdate at the pool!  Ellary has a birthday the day after Addison's so we used this opportunity to celebrate both girls!  I have discovered that Addison's birthday falls during a very busy time of year.  It seems every weekend there is something going on or another birthday party to attend so it's a bit hard to find a time to celebrate.  I decided to keep thing low key this year with a birthday playdate and a dinner playdate at our neighborhood pool and the day worked out perfectly!  Addison felt special and CELEBRATED, as she should be, but it kept us from trying to force a party that just wasn't going to work this year.  We really enjoyed introducing Ellary to the YMCA pool and enjoying some yummy cupcakes together! :)  The girls were excited when they found out they would be having another birthday playdate the next day to celebrate Ellary!

After an afternoon nap, picking up the boys from school, and a guitar lesson I made some Pizza Roll-ups, cut up some fruit and we headed up to the Neighborhood pool to meet the Bascom's, the Nelson's, and Aunt Megan and her kids for a little birthday celebration.  We had a GREAT time!

Climbing the Rock Wall

all the boys LOVED doing the rock wall.  there wasn't a line so they were able to go up and down the wall multiple times which made it even more fun!  Serioulsy, the SC Zoo is the BEST. 

After the ZOO, we headed back to David & Katy's where she fed us a super yummy lunch!  BBQ Chicken, Mac & Cheese, Watermelon, Baked Potato Salad.  YUM YUM!  We always hate saying goodbye but are so thankful that our friendship has stood the test of time and distance.  So thankful for these dear friends God has given us!  August will be a fun month becasuse the kids are going to come to Raleigh to spend a few days while David and Katy are at a conference and then Baby Schrodt is going to finally arrive and I'll get to go visit!  Can't wait to get my hands on that sweet baby!!!  and to find out if it's a boy or a girl! :)
