Monster Truck Jam

this truck was Harrison's favorite

and this was Anthony's favorite

The boys got to go on a date with their Daddy on Saturday. Anthony bought tickets for the three of them to go to the Monster Truck Jam. They had a blast! Anthony used to go with his dad to these types of events when he was a little boy so he was very excited when he realized there was one here for the weekend. A very boy thing to do! :) Addison and I got to stay home and take a nap. :)

They said it was very loud and they loved seeing the trucks crush the other cars. Of course they did, what boy wouldn't??? :) Daddy spoiled them rotten with cotton candy and popcorn and they loved every minute of it. I love the times when Anthony and I can spend quality time with these precious kids! We are making memories!!!

After the show, they headed over to Anthony's office so he could drop something off. They have so much fun checking out the place and he said they were on a mission to find any candy that was easily accessible. :) They probably think Anthony's office just eats candy all day!

It was a wonderful day spent with their daddy and I'm so glad that Anthony sees the importance of doing things with his boys...just the guys! I can't wait for him to be able to take Addison on little dates. How precious will that be??? :)

Sounds like a good thing to do with Daddy. Soon you and Addison will get to go get your nails done together while Dad is with the boys!

I kept meaning to ask you about this today, but then I got sidetracked with hearing about your GREAT 9 MILE RUN yesterday and totally forgot. I'm glad the menfolk had fun! :)

When I was in college I organized a sorority outing to the Monster Truck Jam at the Hampton Coliseum. I was SO into cars back then. When I was in grad school (for library science) I actually interviewed with the automotive engineering dept. to see about switching my degree. All the additional undergrad requirements turned me off of that. But, I would read automotive engineering magazines in the physics library, and I had great plans of driving my little black New Beetle to California to have flames painted on it (that is, if I was not able to convince Geof to buy me a Ford F250 to drive to library school). Thank goodness Kellen came and I had to settle down and buy a subaru. :)

Oh I'm sure the boys (all of them) had such a great time! I have such a cool Brother and he is such a great Daddy too! Harrison and Jackson will remember these special times when they are Daddy's one day and they have children of their own...what a great blessing that y'all spend such sweet time with your children.

Wow! That was such a GREAT thing to do with the boys! I am sure it was wild and crazy loud fun... just what boys LOVE! Good job Daddy! Anthony has the best of both worlds... he is so good with the boy thing... and I am sure he will enjoy his "Daddy Dates" with Addison when she gets a little older.
Love and miss you, Mom

I wish I could have been a fly on the wall.....I would have loved seeing their eyes shine with excitement! When Anthony and his dad went to those things, I never went and we obviously did not have a camera that James would take so I enjoyed seeing the real thing!
