Labor Day Weekend 2007

We started off the weekend with an "End of the Summer Pool Party" at our neighborhood pool! Anthony and Harrison spent the afternoon after church at the pool playing with neighborhood friends. Jackson and I arrived after his nap. We had a potluck dinner at 5pm to which we brought Sweet & Sour Meatballs and a new Potato Salad recipe that Katy gave me. All the food was great, who doesn't love a potluck?!?! We have GREAT neighbors and it's amazing what a neighborhood pool does to help you build those relationships! Jackson and Harrison loved playing with their friends...especially Aidan and baby Riley. Their other good friend Taylor had already headed home before I took the pictures!

This morning we took our time getting ready and relaxed as a family. My VERY favorite kind of day! We all played in Mommy's and Daddy's bed and Daddy even when out to get Hardee's Breakfast! What a treat! :) The boys decided to bring ALL of their stuffed animals downstairs and have a "camp party". I don't really know what a "camp party" is but I can't tell you how much I LOVE seeing them play together like that!

This afternoon, we went over to the Bascom's house (our neighbors who live behind us) to have a cook-out! It was so much fun getting to know them more and the kids always have a good time playing with Aidan! Jackson sang his baby Riley song and I even got to feed Riley his bottle. The food was great and the company was even better! I'm so glad that God has blessed us with such nice neighbors. It's something I don't take lightly! We feel so privileged to know them!

What a nice family to be your back door neighbors! I am so thankful that God has placed you right at the spot He did in NC. And all the friends you all have made at the pool! What a nice way to get to know everybody! Looks like you all had a wonderful time!
