Harrison makes a life changing decision...

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Luke 18:16-17 But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it."

On the evening of September 7, 2007, Harrison asked Jesus to be his Savior, to come into his heart. We have been talking a lot about this for months. He's been asking so many questions and in particular questions about Heaven this week. I sat down with some story cards from a friend at church called the Salvation Series from Abeka. They were great! They really explained things at his level and it was clear God was speaking to his little heart. Things clicked like they had never before. It was such a privilege for both Anthony and I to be part of this special decision made by Harrison! Harrison prayed his own sweet prayer to the Lord and then Anthony guided him through prayer. I can't tell you how I have begged the Lord to capture the hearts of my children while they are young. I know he will continue to give his heart to Jesus more and more as he grows in the Lord. His heart has been so tender this weekend reflecting on his decision and he has been so excited! What a blessing!

Lord, thank you so much for Harrison! Thank you so much for his love for you and his desire to love and serve you at his young age of 5 1/2 years old. Help him to love you and serve you all the days of his life! Help him to grow in your love and never doubt that you have a plan for his life! I love him so much and I feel so honored that you have given him to us. Lord, help us to teach him your ways and to always point him to you.

I'm crying tears of joy, too. You must be praising and dancing with the angels. Wow, I've been praying for this moment with both of our kids since we found out we were expecting them. Thank you Lord for calling this precious child into your Kingdom. I pray Evan and Sarah will make this same decision at such a tender young age as well.

Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord! How thankful Mimi and Papa are that God has already started speaking to that very special little boy! What a comfort to his Grandparents that he is already in tune with what God says....You know that is a guarentee for a wonderful life! We are so thankful that God got his attention and proud that Harrison obeyed the voice of God.

Wow! What a blessing! Cailey was asking a lot a few months ago, but the questions have tapered off. I just pray that when she feels the 'tug' that she answers!

Rejoice! Even at a young age his soul has tapped into what every man and woman's heart longs for: an eternal connection with their Maker. May Harrison continue to plug into his path of sanctification that God yearns for him to follow. There is no greater thing than to know Christ.

Now we have been able to hear the video and we just about cried! How wonderful to have such a momento of the greatest time in his life! How I wish we could have had that with our children. But of course, come to think of it...they may have had it and we just did not know how to plug in and get it workin!

Harrison,
Mr. Chris and I are so proud of you for making such a grown up decision. We will be praying for you as you begin talking to God everyday and learning about what he teaches us in the Bible. You are so blessed to have a Mommy and Daddy who love Jesus so much that they want you to know Him too.
We love you so much!

Oh I am so touched reading this blog, Beth and seeing that prayers for my sweet nephew have been answered. In March 2002 when Harrison Tyler was born I started praying that he would come to know the Lord at a young age and knowing how God has drawn him to Himself is absolutely wonderful! I know the Lord has wonderful things in store for Harrison and we all look forward to seeing God's plan for our "little man" unfold. Okay I've gotta go so I can watch the video again. Love you, Vonda
