A Very Happy 30th Birthday!

The boys welcomed me this morning with a beautiful homemade card (my FAVORITE) and a Happy Birthday song. We took a quick picture before heading off to church this morning.
The big surprise of the evening was Gretchen & Finn, Adam, Natalie, & Greta, & Kathy coming to give me a Birthday party. We didn't have any big plans for the evening, we were just going to relax at home. Gretchen (who is visiting with her baby boy named Finn and her mom from Alaska) called at about 5pm and said they would be over at 6pm with take-out to celebrate my 30th. They couldn't stand the idea of me not having a party. They were so sweet and it made the day very special. They brought pizza and cake and we had a wonderful time. I'm so glad that Adam and Nat live near us and hope to continue to be good friends. It's been very fun to see Gretchen, Finn, and Kathy! I haven't seen them since Bridgette's wedding and this has been a REAL treat! I can't wait to see Bridgette in October.

Gretchen trying to light 30 candles before the wax melted into the cake!
Harrison and Jackson loved singing Happy Birthday again and really enjoyed watching Mommy blow out all of those candles!
A quick picture of everone before they left. Left to Right...Natalie holding Greta, Beth, Jackson, & Harrison, Gretchen holding Finn, and Kathy (KiKi) or "whowho" according to Jackson. Thank you guys SO Much for making a wonderful memory with me for my 30th Birthday! You were a Blessing!

To sum things up, I'll tell you what my Mommom said on the phone yesterday while wishing me a Happy 30th Birthday. She told me that I didn't need to be sad about turning 30. God had been so good to me in my 20's. I've graduated college, gotten married to the love of my life, had two adorable, precious boys, moved numerous places and made many friends, have 2 nephews and 3 nieces, and many more blessings than I can count. I can only be excited about what God has for me in my 30's. I am so thankful to the Lord for ALL of these blessings!

Two Firsts...

I have two firsts to report. It was a very exciting day for the Williams' boys. They each had a first and I have to tell you all about it. Harrison swam under water for the FIRST time today. He likes to swim around with his swimmies/water wings but really hasn't been all that excited about putting his head under water, although he does it very well. At the pool this evening, he just started swimming under water; with no prodding from his parents! We were so excited. He did it over and over and was completely proud of himself! Yay Harrison!

The second first happened for Jackson. Jackson has been very afraid of the potty. He is almost 2 1/2 and I figured I would start putting him on the potty before baths to help him conquer his fear of the toilet. He didn't like it at first but has been a willing participant the past month or so. Tonight, He went pee-pee on the potty for the FIRST time! He was so proud of himself and loved all the cheers from Daddy, Mommy, and Harrison. He kept saying "again, again." He didn't like the fact that he can't make it happen any old time he pleases. Yay Jackson!

I'd have to say that my boys gave me very nice Birthday presents this year with deciding to try something new! I'm so proud, can you tell?!?

Super Summer Adventure 2007

We had our first Super Summer Adventure (aka VBS) here in Raleigh. Harrison had a great time. I was able to help in his class and it was fun to see him learn about Jesus and meet new friends. It wasn't quite the production ASBC puts on but fun none the less. We really missed Summer's Best Week this year. However, we had a lot of fun and were able to meet some new people that we wouldn't have met otherwise. Harrison's teacher, Becca, was great with the children and is a teacher for a living. She has offered her Baby Sitting services in the future which I was very excited about...being as we don't know any good sitters here in Raleigh. Mrs. Jane told the Bible Story and she is just precious. She has a heart for the Lord and for children. I'm so pleased we were able to meet her. All the kids were lots of fun and Harrison has made more friends. We feel very blessed to have found a wonderful church. ASBC was such a big part of our lives and we miss it but I do believe that Providence is going to be a wonderful church family and we feel so blessed that God has brought us here!

A Fresh New Look...

To all who have asked for a picture, here it is! I have a new haircut and I love it. I think I've finally accepted that long hair for me equals pony tails and I'm over it! A cute mommy haircut is what I needed so I got one! I've gotten so many compliments so that has been fun! ...and it's cooler; the long hair was so hot..another reason for the pony tail. My hair stylist said she should have given it to locks of love. She cut before she thought but she said I definitely had 10 inches! That's a lot of hair!

Father's Day 2007

This Father's Day was especially special because we were able to celebrate with my Dad. Anthony enjoyed his Cold Stone Cake and we had a nice dinner at home. Dad hadn't been to see us in Raleigh so it was exciting to show him our new house and give him a tour of Raleigh. The kids loved the attention and the toys he bought them...AND the trip to Golden Corral. Papaw was a big hit! I'm sure they'll be wanting him to come back very soon!

Tongue-Tie No More

Well, it's finally over. Jackson has had his surgery on Monday and it was a success! Praise the Lord! The surgery was so quick and he was a real trooper. He was running around playing and eating like normal for most of the day. He will still have to have some speech therapy but we are optimistic that he will adapt quickly. He loves to talk anyway...now he has to ability to make it happen! Thanks to all of you who prayed for him and checked up on him. It really meant a lot to us.

T-Ball Spring 2007

Harrison had his first experience playing a sport this year. His T-Ball season was a lot of fun and we are already looking forward to the next one. He LOVES his trophy and was so excited to get one like his daddy!

Ella Rose Livingston

Isn't our little niece just precious?!?! We think so! Ella Rose had these taken when she was 8 weeks old. She is now 13 weeks and I'm sure even more beautiful. We can't wait to see her again!

Jackson with Mimi and Papa in Florida

While we were having a blast at Disney...Jackson was enjoying himself with Mimi and Papa at The Villages. He fed the ducks and the buffalo. He had lunch and played at the park. ...AND he got to ride in the golf cart...his very favorite thing to do. I'm sure he didn't miss us a bit!

Meeting the Disney Characters

Harrison met Minnie Mouse, Daisey Duck, Mickey Mouse and a few others. He picked out Lady from Lady and the Tramp to take home. It was a wonderful day and we made some great memories.

Harrison's Trip to the Magic Kingdom

Harrison had so much fun at Disney! We had wanted to take him for his 5th Birthday. We were in FL visitng with Mimi and Papa and hadn't planned to take him over Memorial Day Weekend. However, this kind woman offered us two free tickets so we grabbed the opportunity to take him for a fun filled day! His favorite part was watching the Woody's Cowboy Camp Show with Woody and Jessie from Toy Story and meeting Buzz and riding the new Buzz Ride. He also enjoyed meeting all the other Disney Characters and getting their autographs! We had a lot of fun.
