Visiting with the Schrodt Family!

The boys played Toy Story for most of the weekend. Wouldn't you know the first thing they spotted was Mr. Potato Head made out of cans!

Harrison's new favorite thing to pretend is having a "Camp Out" as he says. He was very glad to see they had a tent all set up just for him!

Jackson really enjoys the chance to practice his driving skills

Callie loved the meat counter.

Jacob practicing his cashier skills

weighing their goods before checking out

writing and stamping letters to mail

Serious Fishermen...

Jackson & Jacob watching their BIG brothers!

Callie was determined to get in on the fishing one way or another!

Katy & Callie checking out the Ambulance and humoring the little girls playing doctor.

The Pirate Ship was a BIG HIT!

playing at the water tables

Upstairs they have building centers, craft centers, news room, instruments, and so much more!!!

We had so much fun with Katy and her kids! Katy drove up on Wed. night and left on Friday night after dinner. (Only a true friend would drive 3 hours with her 3 children and act like it was nothing! I can't say thank you enough for being willing to do that!) It was a quick visit but absolutely perfect! I treasure our times together and she is truly such a dear friend!!! I feel so blessed that God has brought us together. Our times visiting in VA are so short and pulled between family that it is so nice to have her all to myself for a couple of days! :) And doesn't she look FABULOUS!!!! I hadn't seen her since before Christmas and I hardly recognized her she's gotten so skinny! Katy, you look INCREDIBLE!!! AMAZING!!! :)

We spent Thursday at the house and just let the kids play. They played like they always do! It's like there is no time or distance between them. I love that! Her kids are a joy and I enjoy every minute of them being here! We had lots of times to talk, talk, talk....you'd think we wouldn't have much to say with as much as we do that but we always find more!

Friday we spent the morning at Marbles, the Children's Museum downtown, and as you can see from the pictures above it was SO MUCH FUN!!!! They have so many centers for the kids to pretend play and we just had a ball watching them. We headed back home for naps and then they took off to VA after dinner. It was such a wonderful time together and I can't wait for the next time. Hopefully David can join her sometime soon. Poor thing hasn't got to tag along yet and I'm sure Anthony would enjoy having him, as would we all! :)

So glad you have such a great friend in Katy and just to think y'all both have 2 boys, she has a girl and you're about to have a girl! Yeah! Sounds like y'all had a wonderful time hitting up the Children's Museum and the boys look like they're having a ball together. And yes Katy is BRAVE for driving 3 hours with 3 kids under the age of 5. Wow! She is a good friend indeed! -V

What a wonderful time you all had! I wish I could have been a "fly on the wall" and watched the kids as they played. They looked so "into" all that pretending!

I agree....Katy is the kind of friend every girl needs. She is a brave soul, isn't she! She is a lady in control......

Love,
Mimi and Papa

What a fun few days with good friends. They all have their little companions - just waiting on Addison. I love the Marbles Museum - next time we come down we'll have to check that out. Hope you guys stay warm!
