Barbus

for a little over a week now, jackson has been talking to his imaginary friend Barbus. he tells me where Barbus is at all times and they do most everything together. this is very funny to me because i had an imaginary friend growing up. anybody remember "Ink"??? :) i still remember talking about him and playing with him.

harrison never had imaginary friends but he would become someone else. he'd be woody and we could no longer call him harrison, etc... it is cute to see jackson and the way he plays. he likes having a little buddy rather than becoming someone else. very cute!

Remington Steele

guess what's on TV...

my favorite show of ALL time, Remington Steele. i DVR'd a few episodes this week and have watched one while the kids are napping. so fun. i just LOVE this show and it brings back so many memories of my crush...on my hollywood boyfriend of course. :)

you probably think i'm nuts and a bit ridiculous. i don't care. :) i was so excited when i accidentally flipped by the channel and saw it on! could not believe my eyes. anthony bought me season's 1 and 2 a few Christmas' ago. i see they now have all 5 on DVD. gonna have to put in my request for this year! :)

jackson's potty prayer

jackson: "mom, me need a go poop"

me: "ok let me know when you are finished and i'll wipe you"

jackson: "this really bad poop, a diarrhea"

me: "ok"

a little time passes...

me: "jackson, are you ok"

jackson: "yes, me pray a God. 'God, help me be safe. nevah let me have diarrhea gen'. me pray a God."

me: totally smiling!

I LOVE seeing him pick up on prayer and going to God with his problems at the young age of three....even if they are potty problems. i know God must love seeing the faith of this little child, trusting HIM for help with his daily needs!!! what a sweet boy!!! :)

WHAT!!!

our neighbor saw a coyote goofing off in our yard yesterday! anthony had just come in from church and she said the coyote was walking around on the side of our yard. she yelled for anthony but he didn't hear her. he went out to the car to get some more things and she called for him. the coyote then ran down the hill and into the woods. CRAZY!!! evidently in NC the neighborhoods are going up so fast that the coyote's don't really have anywhere to go so they are roaming about. not what i want to hear!!! kristine even saw one dead on the side of the road yesterday. i guess they are about as popular as deer around here!!!!

***just to make things clear, i did NOT take this photo. it is courtesy of the internet! :)***

accountability - update #2

work out week #2

M: walk 5 run 2 - 30 min
T: walk 5 run 2 - 30 min
W: walk 5 run 2 - morning (treadmill) evening (friend) - thought i wouldn't be able to work out at night b/c anthony had a meeting. this was tough, won't do that again.
Th: OFF
F: walk 4 run 2 - 30 min
S: walk 4 run 2 - 30 min
Su: OFF - family walk with kids

Food: did well for the week. splurged with friends on thursday night for a ladies night out.

Weight: maintained the loss. bounced back and forth within 2 -4 pounds. i expected that. it was a big loss to start. however, pleasantly surprised that i was back to the original weight loss this morning. (7 pounds)

it was a good week. stayed consistent. going to start a 10 week training schedule this week. been feeling like i need more structure to be able to reach my goal of learning to run for 30 minutes and run a 5K. i'll let you know how it goes this week... i have a few neighbor friend who have decided to join me in this challenge. hopefully we can push each other to reach the goal! :)

last night

it was a little better. thanks everyone for your prayers and sweet words! we had addison sleep in her car seat inside the pack n play in our room. (thanks Cheri for reminding me of this option!). it did seem to help her breathe better. she slept until 3am and then was a mess. cleaned her out and then fed her. she then slept until 7:30am. i hope this means she's getting better.

it sure is hard to go back to waking up in the middle of the night! hope she'll be feeling better and get back on track soon!

little sick girl

addison is sick with her first cold and it's a pretty nasty one. she was up three times in the night, which is NOT like her!!! she's been sleeping 9 hours consistently but couldn't even make it a 5 hours stretch. she absolutely cannot breathe! i feel awful for her. the aspirator is never fun so she's just hating life right now. poor thing can hardly be put down without crying.

so, i'm home from church today taking care of our precious baby girl. i hope we have a better night tonight! i'm pretty exhausted!

laundry

this has been a rough laundry week. with anthony gone last weekend, learning to work exercise into my routine, and just life with three kids... i have gotten behind.

most of it is clean but not folded. some loads are so wrinkled at this point they should probably be rewashed. overwhelmed with where to begin is an understatement. my sweet husband offered to help me with it this weekend, unasked, that should tell you something!!!

i blame some of it on the working out. that dirties up a LOT more clothes!

so my big weekend plans, one of them, is the get my laundry back under control.
.
options for the future...

gonna have to settle down and do a load everyday.
could stop working out for more time - NOT AN OPTION.
could BLOG LESS...hummm...that's for my sanity so i can't stop that either! :)

granddaddy

y'all be praying for my granddaddy. this is my mom's dad and he was diagnosed with Parkinson's this week. my nanny is taking things well. in many ways, they are finally glad to have an answer to what's been going on with him lately. no one could give them any answers and it was getting discouraging to see him change and not know why.

he's 78 and been in excellent health his whole life. i've told some of you, but when i went up the past two times to see my family in VA, it was so strange to see him aging this way. you have a picture in your mind of your grandparents and up until this point he has always been that picture. i know it must be killing my nanny to see the love of her life, her partner and soul mate, changing like this and know she can't stop it. it must be hard for him too.

please pray for them as they accept the news, learn ways to help him through this, and what is to come. i LOVE my nanny and granddaddy SO much. they have had so much influence on my life and my spiritual growth. they love the Lord with all of their heart and serve Him with everything they have. they are a blessing in the lives of the people who know them!!!

i know the Lord will take granddaddy home to be with Him someday and there is NO better place to be!!! it's just hard to imagine life without him in it and imagine nanny without him. praise the Lord our hope is in Jesus and we know we will be with our loved ones again!!!
